“Since we are not in the playoffs our goals are simple, we just want to win races. I think if we hit it right, we can get a win at any of the next seven races.”
How do you approach a track like Loudon, a track you’ve never raced on?
“For all tracks I haven’t raced at before, I’ll go through and watch past races and I’ll talk to guy’s that have raced there before. I’m approaching Loudon the same way. Fortunately, crew chief Jeff Hensley has been to all of these places multiple times, so I lean on him a lot. I’ll also talk with my teammates before and after the practice sessions there.”
- This Week’s No. 98 RIDE TV Toyota Tundra… The No. 98 ThorSport Racing team will unload chassis No. 43 for Saturday’s NCWTS race at Loudon. This is the same chassis Enfinger piloted at Martinsville Speedway (17th), and Gateway Motorsports Park (5th), earlier this season.
- Magic Mile Stats… Although Enfinger will be making his 31st career NCWTS start on Saturday, the RIDE TV driver will make his debut at Loudon in the NCWTS.
- Sunoco Rookie Update… The ThorSport Racing driver is currently second in the 2017 Sunoco Rookie of the Year standings after 16 races this season, a mere three points behind leader Chase Briscoe.
- Truck Series Stats… In 30 career NCWTS starts, Enfinger has one pole (Daytona, 2016), and has led 73 laps en route to one win (Talladega, 2016), nine top-five and 15 top-10 starts.
